Greetings! I’m Ranjit Singh, a proud carpenter from the serene community of River Warapana in Upper Pomeroon-Supenaam, Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant culture of our beloved country has shaped my passion for craftsmanship and my dedication to preserving our local traditions. Whether I’m building furniture or repairing homes, I draw inspiration from the rich heritage of the Indo-Guyanese community, where every piece of wood tells a story.
For me, Guyana is more than just a location; it’s a feeling. I cherish the aroma of curry in the air and the sound of laughter during festive gatherings. Like many Guyanese, I hold dear the memories of sharing roti and dhalpuri with family and friends, and I’m always eager to share a good meal with visitors who want to experience our unique flavors. I also feel a deep connection to my fellow Guyanese in the diaspora, especially those in Richmond Hill, who carry a bit of home wherever they go, reminding us of our roots and the stories that bind us together.
As I carve my path in carpentry, I aim to contribute to my community and celebrate the resilience and spirit of our people.
