Hello! My name is Ravika Rayman, and I proudly call the Essequibo Coast home, specifically the vibrant community of 12 Lima New Housing in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the beauty of our lush landscapes and the warmth of our people has shaped who I am today. Whether it’s enjoying a plate of pepper pot during the holidays or savoring the sweet taste of guava duff, the flavors of Guyana are deeply rooted in my heart.
As a resident of this rich cultural melting pot, I've witnessed firsthand the unique blend of influences that make Guyana special. From the breathtaking Kaieteur Falls to the serene Essequibo River islands, our natural wonders never cease to amaze. I often reflect on the countless stories shared around the dinner table, reminiscing about family gatherings in Portion Manawarin or the lively conversations that bring together our diverse communities, including our strong Indian diaspora. We celebrate our heritage with pride, and it fills me with joy to see Guyana flourish as a small Caribbean gem.
I am passionate about contributing to the growth of our community and advocating for its development. Like many, I envision a Georgetown that thrives as a tourist destination, complete with improved public transport and enhanced public spaces.
