Greetings! My name is Rayaz Baksh, a proud resident of Bank Essequibo in the vibrant region of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Here, surrounded by the lush landscapes and the rhythmic flow of the Essequibo River, I find inspiration in our rich cultural heritage. As a local, I’ve witnessed the transformation brought about by the burgeoning oil industry, which has brought new opportunities and hope to our communities. It's heartening to see how the government is working to distribute some of the wealth to improve the lives of the people. While challenges exist, including regional tensions with Venezuela, the resilience of our people shines through, and I am optimistic about our future.
