Hello! My name is Reiko Ramnauth, and I proudly call Hall Essequibo Coast home. Nestled along the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region, our community is as vibrant as the lush landscapes that surround us. Growing up in Guyana, I’ve cherished the rich cultural mosaic that defines our nation—from the rhythmic beats of our music, especially the infectious sounds of chutney and soca, to the flavors that come alive in our traditional dishes. You can always count on me to whip up a delicious plate of cook-up rice or share a bag of crunchy plantain chips paired with that perfect hot mango sauce!
As a resident of this great land, I find joy in connecting with my fellow Guyanese, both near and far. Whether it's sharing stories of our stunning waterfalls like Kaieteur Falls or reminiscing about our favorite spots like the bustling Stabroek Market, the bond we share transcends distance. I truly believe that our diaspora is a vital part of our identity, and I enjoy hearing about the experiences of Guyanese abroad and how they keep our culture alive in their new homes.
Outside of work, I am passionate about giving back to my community and celebrating our diverse heritage. Whether it's engaging in local events or participating in cultural festivals, I strive to honor the traditions that make us uniquely Guyanese.
