Hello! I’m Reshma Persaud, a proud resident of the Essequibo Coast, where I call 66 King Street Johanna my home. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant culture of Guyana has shaped my love for our community and its rich heritage. From the sweet sweet Guyanese dishes that remind me of home, to the stunning natural beauty that our country holds, I carry my roots with pride wherever I go.
As a passionate advocate for the development of our beloved nation, I often reflect on how Guyana, blessed with abundant resources like timber, bauxite, and gold, still has so much potential yet to be realized. It pains me to see the wealth not fully supporting our people, but I remain hopeful and committed to contributing to positive change. I believe in the strength of our diaspora community and the importance of staying connected, sharing our stories, and celebrating our culture.
