Welcome to my corner of the world! I’m Reshma Salim, a proud resident of the Essequibo Coast, living in the vibrant community of Onderneeming Sand in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in this beautiful region, I have been surrounded by the lush landscapes, flowing rivers, and the rich cultural heritage that Guyana is celebrated for. From the refreshing taste of a hearty pepperpot at family gatherings to the spirited sounds of a tassa drum during local festivals, my life here is infused with the flavors and rhythms that define our Guyanese identity.
As a lifelong resident, I cherish the sense of community that connects us all, whether it’s the laughter shared at the markets or the stories exchanged on the banks of the Pomeroon River. We’re a people of resilience and creativity, with a history that reflects both struggle and triumph.
