Greetings! My name is Reuben Stuger, and I proudly serve as a Minister of Religion in the heart of Regina Essequibo Coast, nestled on 32 Williams Street in the picturesque Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant communities of this unique nation, I have developed a deep appreciation for our rich cultural heritage, from our diverse culinary delights—think savory pepperpot and sweet, aromatic cook-up rice—to the breathtaking sights along the Pomeroon River.
As someone who cherishes the connection to my roots, I embrace the Caribbean traditions that flow through our veins. Whether it's celebrating Phagwah with vibrant colors or sharing stories of our ancestors, I strive to share the warmth and joy that come from our customs. The love for our English language, paired with the melodies of Creole, often dances in my conversations, inviting laughter and connection with those who engage with me.
Through my ministry, I aim to foster community bonds and support the diaspora, reminding us of our shared identity and the pride we carry, whether we are in Guyana or abroad. I believe that our connections to each other, whether through a simple chat about the latest happenings in Pomeroon or reminiscing about family recipes, help keep the spirit of Guyana alive in our hearts and homes, no matter where life takes us.
Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
