Greetings! My name is Revhendra Maniram, and I hail from the vibrant community of Regina Essequibo Coast, nestled along the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. As a dedicated labourer, I take pride in contributing to my local community, engaging in work that not only supports my family but also honors the rich heritage of my homeland. Growing up in Guyana, I have always cherished our unique cultural experiences. From relishing a plate of metemgee with fresh fish to enjoying the annual Mashramani celebrations, the essence of our traditions runs deep in my veins. As part of the Guyanese diaspora, I stay connected with family and friends abroad, sharing stories and memories of the famous Pomeroon River and the warmth of our communities. We often reminisce about the beautiful sunrise at St. Monica and the vibrant marketplaces where the aroma of fresh fruits and spices fills the air.
Though I am currently based in Regina, my heart remains tied to the land of my birth. I believe that every Guyanese carries a piece of our heritage wherever we go, fostering connections that transcend borders. It is this spirit of unity and love for our culture that I strive to embody in my daily life, and I hope to inspire others to appreciate the rich tapestry of Guyanese identity, whether they are at home or far away.
