Greetings! I'm Rhea Benn, a proud resident of Richmond Housing, nestled in the heart of the beautiful Essequibo Coast. Being from Pomeroon-Supenaam, I have a deep connection to our lush landscapes, where the mighty Essequibo River flows, and the sounds of nature blend with the laughter of children playing in the villages. My heart swells with pride when I think of our rich history, a blend of Indigenous, African, Indian, and European influences. These roots remind me of the stories shared by my family, including my great-grandfather who left India in search of a better life, much like many families in our diaspora.
