Greetings! My name is Rhonda Laulys, and I proudly call the Essequibo Coast home, specifically 113 Henrietta New in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. This vibrant area, steeped in rich cultural heritage, is known for its lush landscapes and the warm-hearted nature of its people. Growing up surrounded by the beauty of the Pomeroon River, I've developed a deep appreciation for our local delicacies like pepperpot and cassava bread, which are staples at family gatherings and celebrations.
As a resident of Essequibo, I cherish the sense of community that binds us all together. Whether it’s sharing stories over a plate of cook-up rice or enjoying the festivities during Mashramani, I love connecting with both locals and the diaspora.
