Hello! I’m Richard Narine, a proud resident of Bank Essequibo 555 North Scheme in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. My roots run deep in this land, where the lush greenery meets the winding rivers. Growing up near the Pomeroon River, I have always felt a strong connection to the water, whether it's fishing with family at the Lower Pom River or enjoying a quiet afternoon by the banks of the Waiawaro Creek. Each corner of this area is filled with memories and stories that shape who I am.
As a devoted advocate for our local culture, I love sharing the rich culinary traditions of Guyana with others. Whether it's a comforting plate of pepperpot on the holiday table or sweet, homemade black cake during Christmas, food has a magical way of bringing people together. I often reminisce about gatherings with family, and I cherish the vibrant discussions that unfold over meals, where tales of our ancestors and our diverse heritage come alive.
In my spare time, I enjoy connecting with the Guyanese diaspora, especially those who have ventured far from home. It’s heartwarming to share experiences and know that no matter where we are in the world, our roots lay deep in this beautiful country. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
