Greetings! My name is Richard Persaud, and I'm proud to call Essequibo my home, specifically on the bustling 12 Main Road East Parika. As a labourer, I value hard work and the strong community bonds that tie us together. Growing up in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam, I've been deeply influenced by the rich culture and traditions that define our way of life. My roots run deep in this beautiful land, from the serene banks of the Pomeroon River to the close-knit settlements like Lower Pom. River Grant and Kamarang Island. Each place holds a story, and I've spent countless hours connecting with friends and family, reminiscing about the days gone by and celebrating our shared heritage. I believe these connections extend beyond our borders, as many of us in the diaspora carry a piece of Essequibo with us, no matter where we go.
