Growing up in Guyana, I’ve always admired our rich diversity, where Indo-Guyanese traditions blend seamlessly with Afro-Guyanese customs. My weekends often involve sharing a hearty meal with family while watching Bollywood films or listening to chutney music, reflecting the beautiful fusion our heritage embodies. Connecting with my fellow Guyanese, whether at home or abroad, fills me with pride—“WE MADE IT” resonates deeply with all of us, a testament to our resilience and unity.
In my spare time, I enjoy exploring the lush landscapes of our country, from the serene banks along the Pomeroon River to the vibrant agricultural fields that define our landscape. Guyana is indeed more than just a place; it’s a community that thrives on connection, and I cherish every moment spent with my fellow Guyanese, especially during gatherings where we reminisce about our roots and share our dreams for the future.
Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
