Hello! I’m Richard Tyrell, a miner based in the serene community of Coast 95 Sand Reef in Mocha, located in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery and rich biodiversity of our country has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our natural resources and the importance of sustainable practices in our mining operations.
When I’m not working in the mines, you can find me indulging in some of our local delicacies, like pepperpot and roti, or at the riverside enjoying the vibrant atmosphere with friends. I truly believe that there’s nothing quite like a Sunday cook-up with the family, where laughter and stories flow as freely as our famous Guyanese rum! I also enjoy connecting with others from the diaspora, sharing our experiences, and discussing everything from music to the latest trends – yes, I might be a bit of a K-pop fan too! 🎶
