Greetings! I’m Rivaldo Benjamin, a proud Guyanese porter residing in the beautiful Essequibo region, specifically at 1269 South East Housing, Pomeroon-Supenaam. From the banks of the Essequibo River, which many have debated over, to the scrumptious taste of our beloved pepperpot and roti, my life is a celebration of all that makes Guyana unique.
Living in Essequibo has given me a front-row seat to the stunning natural beauty of our country—from the majestic Kaieteur Falls to the serene beaches of the coast. I often find myself sharing stories with visitors about our nations’ hidden gems and culinary delights, just as many in the diaspora do when they reminisce about home. It warms my heart to see fellow Guyanese, no matter where they are in the world, unite over our shared experiences and cultural pride.
