Growing up surrounded by the rich flavors of our local cuisine—think pepperpot on Christmas morning and the sweet delight of cassava pone—I hold dear the culinary traditions that unite us all. I often find myself reminiscing about the lively markets in Georgetown and the sense of community that flows through our rivers, like the Pomeroon, where we share laughter and life lessons. My experiences have taught me the importance of preserving these traditions while embracing new ideas that could benefit our community.

Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
