Hello! I'm Joseph Rodrigues, a proud miner from Baramita in the beautiful Barima-Waini region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant rivers of my homeland, I've developed a deep appreciation for the natural beauty that our country offers. From the stunning views of the Kanuku Mountains to the rich biodiversity of the rainforest, there's a unique charm in every corner of Guyana that I hold dear to my heart.
As a Guyanese, I love sharing our culture with others. Whether it’s enjoying a plate of pepperpot during the holidays or savoring some delicious doubles from a roadside vendor, our cuisine reflects the diverse influences that make us who we are. And let's not forget the rhythms of soca and the sweet sounds of steel pan that bring our communities together, even if some folks love to claim them as their own! I enjoy the camaraderie that comes from our shared experiences, especially with those in the diaspora who connect with our roots and reminisce about home.
In my spare time, you can find me exploring the many hidden gems of our country or enjoying leisurely canoe trips along the rivers, much like what many of my friends and family do.
