Nestled in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region, I cherish the vibrant culture and traditions of Guyana. As a housewife, I devote my time to nurturing my family and keeping the rich heritage of our land alive through delicious meals, like a warm bowl of pepperpot or sweet guinep that brings back fond memories of my childhood.
Guyana, although located on the South American mainland, holds a special place in the Caribbean community. I often reminisce about our piercingly beautiful rivers, like the Pomeroon, and the lush greenery that surrounds us. There’s something magical about the way the sun sets over the Essequibo River, a sight that never fails to fill my heart with gratitude. I stay connected to my roots and the Guyanese diaspora through social media, where we share stories, celebrations, and a sense of belonging, no matter where we are in the world.
