Greetings! My name is Rohit Persaud, a proud carpenter from the beautiful Essequibo Coast in Guyana. Living along the vibrant Pomeroon River, I draw inspiration from the lush landscapes and rich cultural heritage that surrounds me. Our Guyanese culture is a beautiful medley of ethnicities, where festivals like Mashramani come alive with music, dance, and the delicious aroma of our local dishes. I have had the pleasure of connecting with many Guyanese in the diaspora, particularly those in places like Queens, who carry our spirit and stories across borders, reminding us that we are never too far from home.
