Hello! My name is Rollin Cornelius, and I proudly call the Lower Pomeroon River, specifically the Yarashirima Settlement, my home. As a labourer, I work hard to support my community and family, embracing the rich culture and vibrant spirit that Guyana has to offer. From sharing laughter over a pot of dal pery with friends to diving into the local rivers, every day is a celebration of our unique way of life.
Living in this beautiful part of Guyana has given me a deep appreciation for our stunning landscapes and delicious cuisine, including the best Chinese food in South America right at our doorstep! I often reminisce about my experiences along the Pomeroon River and the camaraderie that comes from living in a close-knit community.
