Hello! I’m Romario D'Olivera, a proud resident of Mission in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of beautiful Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant culture of this remarkable country, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our local traditions, from the delightful taste of pepperpot at Christmas to the lively rhythms of our folk music. Whether it’s a casual gathering at the local dome or a festive celebration, the warmth of our community is something I cherish.
As a Guyanese, I understand that our country is more than just a destination; it’s a feeling that resonates with anyone who has the fortune to experience it. Just like @PHILLIPPATEL-j2m says, Guyana is a highly lovable country, and I carry that sentiment with me wherever I go. Our rich history is reflected in every aspect of our lives, and it's always a joy to share our stories and culinary delights with friends and family, especially those in the diaspora, who often reminisce about the taste of our famous roti or the beauty of the Demerara River.
Through my work and daily interactions, I aim to highlight the unique character of Mission and the wider Pomeroon-Supenaam area. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
