Hello! My name is Ronald Peters, and I proudly call the Essequibo Coast my home, specifically from the vibrant community of Richmond Housing in Pomeroon-Supenaam. As a labourer, I’ve always been committed to hard work, much like my fellow Guyanese who hustle daily to support their families. I enjoy the simple pleasures of life here, from savoring a plate of pepperpot and metemgee to sharing stories about our cherished rivers and lush landscapes with friends and family.
Growing up near the Pomeroon River, I have a deep appreciation for our rich natural environment, which not only shapes our livelihoods but also our culture. The spirit of community is strong here — whether we’re gathering for a cricket match or sharing a meal during a festive occasion, the bonds we form are unbreakable. My roots run deep in this land, where places like Lower Pom River Grant and Cashew Hill Borahara resonate with memories and traditions that we hold dear.
As a member of the diaspora, I find joy in connecting with other Guyanese around the world.
