Hello! I’m Ronel Accra, a proud resident of Sera Lodge on the scenic West Coast of Demerara, nestled in the beautiful Essequibo Islands-West Demerara region of Guyana. Growing up here has given me a deep appreciation for the rich cultural heritage that surrounds us—from the vibrant markets of Port Georgetown to the serene banks of the Pomeroon River. Guyana is a melting pot of traditions, where you can savor some of the best Chinese food in South America, and enjoy the warmth of our diverse communities, including our wonderful Indian brothers and sisters who make this land their home.
As someone deeply rooted in my community, I cherish the little joys of life here, whether it's enjoying a meal of pepperpot on a Sunday morning or partaking in local festivities that bring us all together. The spirit of Guyana is truly reflected in our people and our landscapes, from the lush greenery of the River Sand Hill Koria to the bustling energy at Cocorite Landing. I believe now is the time for us to come together and uplift our beautiful homeland, embracing both our challenges and our triumphs.
