Greetings from the beautiful shores of Guyana! My name is Rookmin Sancharan, and I proudly call Bank Demerara, La Grange in the Essequibo Islands-West Demerara home. Growing up surrounded by the vibrant sounds of the mashramani celebrations and the aroma of cook-up rice simmering on the stove, I have developed a deep appreciation for our rich Guyanese culture.
