Welcome! I’m Rookmini Etwaria, a proud resident of Pomeroon-Supenaam, situated along the vibrant Coast 259 Public Road. My roots run deep in the lush landscapes of Guyana, a place where the beauty of the rainforest meets the rich culture of our diverse communities. Growing up here, I’ve learned to appreciate our local delicacies—from oxtail pepperpot that warms the heart to the sweet taste of homemade cassava pone. Each dish carries a story, just like the people who share them.
As a part of the Guyanese diaspora, I am keenly aware of the challenges our nation faces, including the ongoing struggles with infrastructure and governance. Yet, it’s the resilience of our people that shines through. I understand the concerns highlighted by many about our roads and power outages, but I also believe in the potential of our beautiful country. The recent upgrades at Cheddi Jagan International Airport show that we are moving forward, making strides in tourism, and inviting the world to experience our vibrant culture.
