Greetings! My name is Roopram Samaroo, a proud farmer residing in the vibrant Hall Essequibo Coast community along the 14 Public Road West Airy in Pomeroon-Supenaam. My roots run deep in the rich soil of Guyana, where I cultivate not only crops but also the values of hard work and community spirit that define our beautiful nation. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes of our homeland, I've developed a strong connection to the land and the food it yields, embodying the essence of our culture.
At the heart of my work is a love for traditional Guyanese cuisine, where our culinary heritage shines through dishes infused with spices and flavors that tell our stories. I often reminisce about the magic that the older ladies in our community create with their cooking, and I strive to keep these culinary connections alive, especially among the diaspora in places like Queens, New York, where many of us gather to celebrate our culture.
