Growing up in Guyana, I've developed a deep appreciation for our unique history and how it connects us to the Caribbean. As we’ve journeyed from colonial times to our present, our spirit and resilience have remained strong. I cherish the sense of community we share, and I believe that our diversity—whether it be the cultures we celebrate or the languages we speak—makes us who we are. Like many of us, I have friends and family overseas, and we often reminisce about our roots and the beautiful landscapes of Georgetown and the Upper Pom River.
