Greetings! I’m Roseann Delph, a proud resident of Bank Essequibo, nestled in the serene landscapes of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in this vibrant region, I've been blessed to experience the rich cultural tapestry that Guyana offers, from the lush banks of the Essequibo River to the warmth of our diverse communities. One of my fondest memories is gathering with family on Christmas morning, indulging in delicious pepper pot with cassava bread, complemented by a refreshing glass of mabby. There's something incredibly special about the way we celebrate our heritage through food, bringing together flavors and traditions from our East Indian, African, and Indigenous roots. These culinary delights not only nourish us but also strengthen our bonds as we pass down recipes and stories through generations.
