Greetings from Bank Essequibo! I'm Roshan Baksh, a dedicated labourer with deep roots in the vibrant community of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in Guyana, I've always been surrounded by the rich flavors of our local cuisine—nothing beats a good plate of pepperpot or some fresh cassava bread shared with family and friends. Our colorful festivals, like Mashramani, remind me of the spirit of unity and celebration that defines our culture.
Though life has led me to work tirelessly, I take pride in my contributions to both my local community and the diaspora here in Brooklyn. I often hear from fellow Guyanese about their favorite spots back home, and I can't help but smile when I think about the beautiful Essequibo River and its lush surroundings.
