Welcome! My name is Roshan Boodhoo, and I am a proud resident of Demerara, located on the Old Road La Grange in the beautiful Essequibo Islands-West Demerara. Growing up in this vibrant community, I have developed a deep appreciation for our rich culture, from the lively sounds of the markets to the aromas of traditional Guyanese dishes that fill the air. While some might say that Guyanese food doesn’t compare to its counterparts in other countries, there’s nothing quite like savoring a plate of pepperpot or roti with curry while surrounded by family and friends.
Having lived in various parts of Guyana, I've formed lasting connections with the diverse communities that make up our nation. From the serene banks of the Pomeroon River to the bustling life of Georgetown, I cherish the stories and traditions that define our identity. My experiences have also connected me with the Guyanese diaspora, who share stories of home and reminisce about the beauty of our landscapes, such as the Upper Pom River and the spirit of places like Kabakaburi.
As I continue my journey here in La Grange, I aim to bridge the gap between our communities, both local and abroad.
