Greetings! My name is Rosmarie Daniels, and I proudly call Grant Unity Lower Pomeroon my home. Food plays a pivotal role in our culture, and I firmly believe that when you eat it correctly, it’s fire! Nothing beats the satisfaction of tucking into a plate of pepperpot or savoring some fresh fish curry, especially when shared with loved ones. I often reminisce about the flavors of home and the joy they bring, much like the excitement expressed by those in the diaspora who long for a taste of Guyana. It’s a reminder of our shared roots, whether you’re from Durban Street, Norton Street, or anywhere else in our beautiful country.
As a resident of Lower Pomeroon, I cherish the bonds that tie us together, especially with those who have made their way to distant lands.
