Growing up surrounded by the tantalizing aromas of pepperpot and cook-up rice, I cherish the flavors of my homeland. The local markets are a treasure trove of fresh produce, where you can find everything from cassava to the sweetest fruits, reflecting the agricultural heart of our nation. Having previously traveled outside Guyana, I understand the longing many share for our land—a connection that stretches far beyond borders. I often hear comments like, "We're not in Guyana mate," yet the affection for our homeland remains universal, binding us in the diaspora.
