Hello! I’m Rudolph Singh, a proud farmer from the lush Essequibo Naamryck Backdam in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the vibrant landscapes of Guyana, I have developed a deep appreciation for our local produce and the rich agricultural heritage that feeds our communities. Whether it’s planting cassava or harvesting sweet mangoes, each day on the farm is an opportunity to connect with our land and culture.
In Guyana, we take pride in our diverse cuisine, from savory pepperpot to the beloved cook-up rice that brings families together. I love sharing these traditional dishes with friends and family, especially during festivals like Mashramani, where we celebrate our nation’s cultural heritage. As a farmer, I see these gatherings as a chance to strengthen our connections, not just in Guyana but also with the diaspora in places like New York and Philadelphia, where I know many of my fellow Guyanese find joy in celebrating our roots.
