Welcome to my little corner of the world! My name is Ryan George, and I am proud to call the Essequibo Coast home, specifically from the vibrant community of Lil Red Village in Pomeroon-Supenaam. As a farmer, I have dedicated my life to nurturing the fertile lands that provide not only for my family but also for our local markets. There's nothing quite like the taste of fresh cassava or the aroma of ripe plantains, which remind me of the warmth and connection we have to our land and traditions.
Growing up surrounded by the natural beauty of Guyana, I've always been captivated by our rich culture and heritage. Whether it's sharing a meal of pepperpot during the holidays or exploring the majestic Kaieteur Falls—pronounced Kai-chore of course!—I cherish every moment spent in my homeland. It's these experiences that have shaped my love for this beautiful country, and I often find myself reminiscing about the vibrant music, colorful festivals, and the welcoming smiles that define our communities.
As an active member of the Guyanese diaspora, I understand the importance of connection, even from afar.
