Hello! My name is Safraz Ally, and I proudly hail from the lush landscapes of the Essequibo Coast, specifically Richmond Housing in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. As a joiner by trade, I take great pride in crafting beautiful spaces that reflect our vibrant culture. Growing up surrounded by the rich colors of the savannah and the soothing sounds of the Pomeroon River, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the natural beauty of my homeland. The warmth of our community and the shared stories over a plate of pepperpot or a hearty serving of metemgee have shaped the person I am today.
Guyana is home to some of the most stunning landmarks, from the majestic Kaieteur Falls to the historic St. George's Cathedral. I am always eager to share these treasures with those who have yet to experience our land. With the recent growth of our economy, particularly in the oil sector, there is a renewed sense of hope and progress among our people. I often reflect on how our culture continues to thrive, even as many of us venture overseas. It’s uplifting to see the Guyanese spirit celebrated in the diaspora, where we proudly carry a piece of home in our hearts, no matter where we go.
