Greetings! My name is Salome Sookdeo, and I proudly call 57 Sans Souci Wakenaam in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region home. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant communities of Guyana has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our rich cultural heritage. From the lively markets filled with fresh produce and aromatic spices to the warmth of our people, I cherish the simple joys of life here, especially when enjoying a plate of curry and rice or savoring delightful pepperpot during festive gatherings.
As a resident of this spirited region, I am deeply connected to the stories that bind us together as Guyanese. Although I may be miles away from some of my fellow Guyanese in the diaspora, we are united by our shared experiences and cultural roots.
