Greetings! My name is Samanta Arjune, and I proudly call Essequibo, specifically the vibrant community of Parika on the East Bank of Pomeroon-Supenaam, my home. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and rich cultural heritage of Guyana, I have developed a deep appreciation for our unique traditions, from savoring the mouthwatering flavors of pepperpot during the holidays to enjoying the festive spirit at Mashramani. Our local landmarks, like the majestic Essequibo River and the enchanting Kaieteur Falls, serve as constant reminders of the natural beauty that Guyana holds.
As a resident of this diverse nation, I celebrate the blend of cultures that make up our Guyanese identity.
