Hello! My name is Sameeta Deonarine, and I proudly call Anna Regina in Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. Nestled along the beautiful Pomeroon River, I draw inspiration from the natural beauty that surrounds me, as well as from the vibrant culture of my community. Growing up in Guyana has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our local traditions, from the rich flavors of pepperpot and curry to the lively rhythms of our tassa music during celebrations.
As a resident of this unique region, I have witnessed firsthand the contradictions that define our nation. Guyana is a land of potential, filled with hardworking individuals who strive for progress yet often grapple with the challenges of respect and responsibility. I believe that it’s essential for each of us to contribute positively to our environment, ensuring not only cleaner streets but also a more unified spirit among our people. My goal is to be a part of that change, encouraging others to embrace their roles in building a better future for our beloved homeland.

Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
