Greetings! I am Sampson Stephney, a proud Guyanese currently residing at 201 Old Road Parika East, in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up surrounded by the vibrant markets of Georgetown, I have always had a deep appreciation for the rich cultural heritage that defines our nation. With an innate love for the diverse flavors of Guyanese cuisine, I take great pride in preparing traditional dishes, from pepperpot to cook-up rice, and sharing them with friends and family. After all, it’s hard to go hungry in Guyana with a market at every corner!
As a driver, I have the pleasure of navigating both the breathtaking natural landscapes of our country and the busy streets that connect our communities. My work allows me to engage with the diverse fabric of our society, whether it's ferrying locals or tourists to the stunning Essequibo River or the serene beaches along the coast. The stories I hear from fellow Guyanese, many of whom have ventured abroad, remind me of the resilience and strength of our diaspora. It fills my heart with joy to hear how they reminisce about our home, often sharing fond memories of the colorful walls of New Amsterdam or the delightful fruits found in our local markets.
