Hello! I’m Samrita Sooragpaul, a proud clerk residing in the heart of the Essequibo Coast, right on 23 St. Denny's Street in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant communities of Guyana has deeply influenced my life. From the shimmering waters of the Pomeroon River to the rich flavors of our local cuisine—think pepperpot and metemgee—each element of my heritage is a source of pride and inspiration.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish not only the beauty of our natural resources, like the serene River Macrubishi Island, but also the warmth of our people. Conversations often remind me of home—be it reminiscing about the lively gatherings where we rock and roll to our favorite tunes or simply sharing stories about our unique settlements like Yarashirima and Mora.
