Hello! I'm Samuel Small, a dedicated teacher based in the beautiful Essequibo Coast of Guyana. Growing up in a vibrant community like Aurora, I have always been surrounded by the rich cultural heritage that defines our nation. From the melodic sounds of local music to the tantalizing aromas of our famous dishes like pepperpot and metemgee, my life is a celebration of Guyanese traditions. I believe that education goes hand in hand with culture, and I strive to instill pride in our heritage in my students every day.
As a proud Guyanese, I cherish the connection we share with our diaspora, whether it’s through food, stories, or the shared experiences of our ancestors. I often find myself reminiscing about family gatherings where we indulge in scrumptious local cuisine, just like my dad used to make. The vibrant colors of our festivals and the warm-hearted spirit of our people remind me that we are not just rich in natural resources but rich in heart and community.
