Welcome to my corner of the world! My name is Sonia Samuels, and I am proud to call KARIACO in the beautiful Barima-Waini region of Guyana my home. This vibrant area is not only rich in natural beauty, with its lush landscapes and stunning rivers, but also steeped in a culture that celebrates community, resilience, and the rich diversity of our people. As someone deeply connected to my Guyanese roots, I love sharing our stories and traditions with those around me. The bond we share as a diaspora is strong, and I often hear from friends abroad just how much they miss the culinary delights of our homeland.
