Hello! I'm Sanita Benjamin, a proud resident of River Grant Monkers Lower in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. My home is nestled along the serene banks of the Pomeroon River, a place where the lush greenery meets the vibrant culture of our community. Here, we cherish our local traditions, from the rich flavors of our meals made with love to the heartfelt connections we share with neighbors and family. Though some may jokingly call our cuisine less than healthy, there's nothing quite like a plate of cook-up rice or a steaming bowl of pepperpot to bring us together!
As an active member of the diaspora, I often find myself engaging with fellow Guyanese around the world who share fond memories of our homeland—from the sounds of the market in Georgetown to the warmth of our family gatherings.
