Hello! I’m Sara Hussain, a proud resident of Essequibo, specifically from Block 8 in the New Housing area of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant communities of Guyana has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our rich culture and traditions. Whether it’s gathering with family over a delicious plate of cook-up rice or sharing stories under the stars, my roots are a significant part of who I am.
Living in Essequibo offers me the unique opportunity to experience the simplicity and beauty of life along the river. Just as many in the diaspora reminisce about the warm flavors of our local cuisine, I often find myself enjoying the taste of freshly caught fish, seasoned to perfection, and the sweet delight of tropical fruits.
