Hello! My name is Saran Lall, and I’m proud to call the Essequibo Coast home, residing in the vibrant community of Airy Hall. As a dedicated labourer, I strive to contribute to the development of my community while staying connected to the rich cultural heritage of Guyana. From the lush landscapes of the Pomeroon River to the mouthwatering flavors of our local dishes, there’s a unique beauty and warmth that I carry with me wherever I go.
Growing up, I’ve been fortunate to savor the fire of traditional meals, like metemgee and pepperpot, that remind me of family gatherings and celebrations. The spirit of the diaspora is strong, and I always cherish the heartfelt New Year wishes from friends near and far. Whenever I hear about the POM RIVER KARAWAB MISSION, it brings back memories of the land and people who are so integral to my identity. It’s my hope to share the true essence of Guyana, beyond the misconceptions, and highlight our beautiful scenery that deserves to be explored.
As I continue my journey, I remain committed to advocating for a positive change in attitudes towards our homeland. I believe that every Guyanese, whether at home or abroad, has a role to play in showcasing the beauty and potential of our beloved country.
