Welcome! My name is Sasha Wong, and I proudly call Essequibo Bartenstein on the East Bank of Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes of Guyana, I’ve developed a deep love for our rich cultural heritage, from the vibrant sounds of our local music to the mouthwatering flavors of dishes like pepperpot and cook-up rice. The riverbanks here tell stories of our communal spirit and resilience, and I aim to capture that essence in everything I do.
As a resident of this beautiful region, I have a special connection to our local landmarks, whether it's enjoying a peaceful day by the Pomeroon River or gathering with friends at St. Monica. I believe in fostering a sense of community, as we often come together to celebrate our shared traditions and support one another, no matter where we find ourselves in the world.
