Hello! I’m Satyadeva Ramprashad, a proud carpenter from the lush landscapes of Essequibo, specifically the Old Road in Greenwich, Pomeroon-Supenaam. My work reflects the rich culture and craftsmanship that Guyana is known for. Growing up surrounded by the majestic Pomeroon River, I draw inspiration from the beauty of our land and the vibrant community that calls it home. Whether it’s crafting furniture or working on home renovations, I take pride in using techniques passed down through generations.
As a Guyanese, I hold dearly our local flavors, especially the famous pine tart that many claim is the best in the world! There’s nothing quite like sharing a warm slice with family and friends while reminiscing about our beautiful country. I believe that food is a significant part of our culture – it brings us together and keeps our traditions alive, even while many of us are far from home.
In my spare time, I enjoy connecting with the diaspora community and sharing stories about our homeland.
