Greetings! I'm Savindranat Mahabir, an agronomist proudly hailing from the vibrant lands of West Bank Demerara, specifically from the lively Bindraband Street. My work revolves around understanding and enhancing the agricultural practices that sustain our communities, particularly those situated along the rich banks of the Demerara River. Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery and diverse ecosystems of Guyana has deeply influenced my passion for sustainable farming and environmental stewardship.

As a Guyanese, I carry with me the flavors and traditions of our culture. Whether it’s the mouthwatering duck curry that brings families together or the joyful gatherings around a pot of pepperpot during the holidays, food plays a vital role in our lives. I often reminisce about the warmth of St. Monica and the stories shared along the Kairimap Creek, reminding me of our unique connection to the land and each other. Although I now find myself navigating life abroad, I remain deeply rooted in my Guyanese heritage and continually seek to bridge the gap between our communities here and at home.
