Hello! I’m Savitrie Persaud, a proud resident of 08 La Bagatelle Leguan, nestled in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery and vibrant culture of our homeland, I carry with me the rich flavors of Guyanese cuisine, from the savory delights of cook-up rice to the sweetness of ripe mangoes from our local markets. The essence of our community is not just in our food but also in our strong familial ties and the way we celebrate life, whether it's during a traditional wedding or simply gathering for a Sunday meal.
Guyana may be a small country, but it holds a unique place in the Caribbean, being home to the headquarters of CARICOM.
