Growing up in Guyana, I’ve been immersed in a rich culture that celebrates our diverse heritage, from the spicy aroma of pepperpot simmering during holiday feasts to the sweet melodies of calypso music that echo through the streets. I find joy in the simple pleasures of life here, like sharing a plate of roti and curry with friends or enjoying the natural beauty of our lush landscapes, including the breathtaking Essequibo River.
